St. Anastasia State Park Spiders

These little jonnies are everywhere in the campground.  We’ve got no less than five who’ve spun webs directly off the trailer, after only two days on site.

They range in size from 1″, to a healthy 3″ specimen stationed directly over our entry door.  Very industrious little creatures, they’ll have a web spanning more than 3′ on anything stationary for more than a couple hours; that means, have a frond handy to clear the way when you’re trying to get into your car, or zero-gravity chair, or beach towel….

This alternate variety seems to be less common in our campsite, with smaller webs.
