Too bad the gal answering the phones had a real attitude. But, when I arrived for check in, I discovered why- campground this size and there’s one person manning the front desk. The phone was ringing off the hook while I was registering, and there was a line of folks behind me. Oh, and they charge “per child”. Somebody explain to me how penalizing your target customer is good business. The only thing more annoying than being surcharged for having a family, is hidden fees.
Pool “under maintenance”, dodge ball arena close, along with BMX park… but, it’s ‘high season’ and they’re charging the higher rates. Nice.
We’ll use it as base camp to head into Traverse City…
